How RaceForValue uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies on the website.

1. About cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Websites can also use other technologies, such as local storage, scripts and tags, that store information on or access information from your device. This policy uses “cookies” as a convenient term for these technologies where appropriate.

2. How RaceForValue uses them

RaceForValue uses technologies that are necessary to operate requested website functions and, with your permission, analytics to understand how the website is used and improve it. RaceForValue does not use the website to run behavioural advertising.

3. Cookie categories

Strictly necessary

These technologies support functions that are necessary to provide a service you request, maintain security, remember your privacy choice or support an authenticated service. They cannot always be switched off through the website preference tool because the relevant function may not work without them.

Analytics

RaceForValue uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website use, including pages visited and navigation. Analytics is optional. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded until you select “Accept analytics” or enable Analytics through Cookie preferences. Google advertising features and Google Signals are disabled in this website implementation.

4. Current cookie/storage inventory

Privacy choice — strictly necessary

rfv_privacy_v1 · First-party local storage managed by RaceForValue. Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics. Your choice expires after 180 days, when the website asks again. This entry is browser storage, rather than a cookie.

Google Analytics — optional

_ga and _ga_EEER8K6R2D · First-party cookies used by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors and maintain session state. Loaded only after analytics consent. Google's default lifetime is two years and can be refreshed by visits while consent remains active. Browser settings may shorten this period. The lifetime of a cookie is separate from the Analytics data-retention setting.

Enquiry forms and Value Hub

Enquiry forms are provided by SuiteDash through portal.raceforvalue.co.uk. Your browser connects to that service when an embedded form loads. The service may use storage for form operation, session management and security; authenticated Value Hub functions may use additional session technologies. These functions are separate from the optional website Analytics choice. Read SuiteDash's privacy policy and our Privacy Notice before submitting personal information.

The exact provider-side storage names and durations for embedded forms have not yet been independently verified. We will update this inventory when that verification is complete.

External links

LinkedIn, Google Preferred Sources and other external links take you to separately operated websites when you follow them. Their own privacy and cookie controls apply there. The Preferred Source button is a link; it does not load a Google tracking tag on this website.

5. Your choices

On your first visit, the website offers Accept analytics, Reject analytics and Manage preferences. You can browse the public website after rejecting analytics.

Use “Cookie preferences” in the footer to change your choice. Rejecting analytics stops the website Analytics tag, removes its first-party Analytics cookies and reloads the page when required. It does not retrospectively erase information already processed by Google Analytics. Your privacy choice remains stored so we can respect it.

6. Browser controls

Most browsers allow you to view, delete or block cookies and other stored website data. Blocking technologies that are strictly necessary for a requested function may prevent that function from working correctly. Browser settings operate separately from the website’s own privacy controls.

7. Changes to this policy

RaceForValue will update this policy and the cookie inventory when relevant technologies, providers or purposes change. Where a new non-essential purpose is introduced, a previous choice will not be treated as consent to that new purpose.
